Love is a many-splendoured thing

Happy Friday everybody!

Here’s a new documentary to warm the cockles of your heart as we celebrate the end of the work week:

It’s called Love, Etc. and it follows five couples in New York City for a whole year on their journey in finding and falling in love.

Here’s one of my favourite quotes from the trailer: “I’ve been married 48 years, but it feels like 48 minutes. 48 seconds.”

A true le sigh moment.

If there’s anyone who can write lyrics that paints a pretty picture and tugs at your heartstrings, it’s Brooke Fraser, daughter of former All Black (yes, that rugby team from that country nobody really talks about hehe) Bernie Fraser.

This single off her latest album Flags just makes me want to dance like summer will never end, and like life really is a bed of roses:

Summer always makes me feel young (okay, younger), and like anything could happen, if you will it to.

The Naked and Famous’ fun music video for their single Young Blood embodies exactly this:

Taken off their debut album, Passive Me, Aggressive You. Read more about them here.

During my weekend interwebz trawl, I came across this hilarious website, which is essentially a repository of photos of the site’s contributors taking pictures with other tourists, mimicking their poses.

How funny (and embarrassing) would it be if you saw yourself in one of these photos?!

Following the news that Suede (oh, Brett!) is coming to Singapore in August, I felt compelled to bring you one of their classics from way back in the 90s:

Ah, memories. What were you doing when this song was first released?
