Surprise in the mail
After a loooong day at work this past week, I came home to a nice surprise. (There’s just something so romantic about receiving snail mail in this day and age – email just takes no effort! Boys, take note. Girls respond better when you make an effort.)
To whom do I owe this pleasure and honour? None other than nabbycat, who made an appearance on Stylo Milo Sunday sometime back and who recently had her first blog giveaway involving haikus – and of course, she picked me (among others). Yay!
So on to the lovely package…
An assortment of all things quirky!
I thought the invisible letter was a particularly nice touch, but I am clearly not cut out for deciphering secret codes:
Burn marks everywhere, as you can see. It’s a miracle I didn’t set the house on fire. hurhur.
Last but not least, the notebook (and particularly the quote on the notebook) appealed to the Literature student in me. /le sigh!
From Cees Nooteboom’s Lost Paradise
Definitely going to use this for random scribbles and notes. Muchas gracias chica!

P.S. In addition to giving away pretty things on her blog, nabbycat is also participating in the LISTERINE Bloggers Dare. I fully applaud her attempt at getting healthier teeth so if you have some time, do go over and vote for her now! Instructions here.
